Yesterday (Sunday), was my last day in Virginia since I had a conference/workshop to attend to in the state.
My Husband and I decided to have lunch at one of the many food trucks close to the hotel we were at. The food truck was by the Hyatt Regency Hotel off of Jefferson Davis Highway in Arlington, Virginia.
I decided that I wanted a Connecticut lobster roll. I asked for mayonnaise on my bread because I don't like bread that much and dry bread I will toss in the trash quickly.
Once you place your order and pay, if you pay with your credit card, your receipt comes to your email quickly. I like restaurants like that, because you have a receipt as well as you can do a survey of their service and food.
Anyway, the lobster roll was really good and plentiful. I didn't eat all of it, but I was really full. My husband chose another truck to eat from, but he had some of my lobster roll and he even said it was delicious.
If I am back in the area when I visit, I will definitely purchase food again here. I love seafood and they have really fresh seafood here. -

Was at the Wharf with my two sisters who are Lobsterholics, if there ever was such a thing. We were looking for a place to have lunch, but for whatever reason, we just kept hovering by this place, so finally, we decided to just stop and get some lobster rolls. My hesitation was that I wanted to go to a restaurant and sit down and relax, but you can do that ordering from here as well, just need to find a spot along the waterfront, of which there are many.
The three of us went with the Connecticut Style lobster roll. This is essentially just lobster meat, drenched in butter, and put on a butter roll. I've had lobster rolls in the past where it's a lot of lobster salad with a hint of lobster meat. Not so with this place. My roll was all lobster...I even saw a full claw in there. Now, the roll isn't massive. I was able to consume the entire thing in six bites, but I certainly didn't leave hungry.
The only thing that was lighter was my wallet, as the lobster rolls were $20 each, so along with drinks, that was a hefty bill for the three of us, but at no point did I feel like I didn't get my money's worth. That was one delicious lobster roll, and while I was satisfied, I didn't feel hungry all afternoon long. We also found a nice spot to sit at along the waterfront.
I've had many a lobster roll in my life....some pricier and certainly less tasty. This will be a place on my mind the next time I come to the DC Wharf for a visit for sure! -

You could have had 5 stars, but the lemon mayo was not felt.
I got the full meal with a side drink and cookie.
My side was coleslaw it was alright, the flavor was a tad too mild or lacking if you will.
Had the half and half iced tea it was very good. The cookie ehh it's small sample size.
So I chose the lobster roll Maine style that's supposed to be lemon mayo or something to that effect, the lobster was as fresh as could be. Big chunks of lobster meat all over the little roll totally worth it. Just the mayo lemon flavor was missing and it was just cold lobster on bread which still good and freshly made, just that I wanted to taste that part and it wasn't there. -

We tried the location at the Wharf this weekend! It was my first lobster roll since moving to the East Coast. Absolutely delicious! Got Connecticut style (butter-yum!) and it was great! The flavor of the lobster really shone through. Large chunks of lobster on toasted bread. Simple but amazing.
Added bonus, it came with a chocolate chip cookie! -

Food truck was at the Navy Yard so decided to try the half lobster roll and chowder. For the price point, I was severely disappointed that the half roll was about 2-3 bites total in claw meat. The chowder was decent and no diet beverages were available. I would not recommend if other food trucks are available.
